List of Variable Tags and Data Column Types for Invoices/Reports is Now Available

The list of variable tags and data column types used when creating invoices or reports in our template editor is now available in the Studiometry Help Documents. Each variable tag and data column type has a description and an explanation of where it is derived from within Studiometry.

Studiometry 5.1.1 contains new additional data column types associated with new functions which were also added. Due to the release and multiple requests from users this descriptive list of variable tags and data column types was created.

Here is a link to the Variable Tag and Data Column Type Definitions:

  • Is there a complete list of tags and what they mean?

Specifically, Studiometry shows an IfOverDue tag, but it always returns a value of $0 for me. Is the tag correct or is there another way to show overdue amounts?

    Thanks,

  • Any information put between the IfOverDue tags will simply show if you generate the invoice and it is overdue. This can be used to put notes on the invoice that will only appear when the invoice is overdue. This tag does not, however, calculate an additional amount to add to the total of the invoice.

  • I am having issues using the ByEmployee report selections in html documents.

If I select the ByEmployee looping tag, I get either all items in the project work shown for each employee (i.e.,:
    Empl1:
    called Tom 2.0 $20.00
    emailed Nick 1.0 $10.00
    hacked code 40.0 $400.00
    called Nick 2.0 $20.00
    Empl1 TotalHours: 5.0 Total: $50.00

    Empl2:
    called Tom 2.0 $20.00
    emailed Nick 1.0 $10.00
    hacked code 40.0 $400.00
    called Nick 2.0 $20.00
    Empl2 TotalHours: 40.0 Total: $400.00

If I use the exact same code format and substitute the debtcategories tags instead, all works as expected. Something I am missing perhaps?

    Thanks,
    Lowell
